Frequently Asked Questions
Switching to solar energy offers numerous benefits, including reduced electricity bills, a smaller carbon footprint, and increased energy independence. Solar power is a clean and renewable energy source that contributes to a more sustainable future.
Our experts provide personalised consultations to assess your energy needs and property suitability. We consider factors like sun exposure, roof orientation, and your energy consumption patterns to determine the optimal solar solution for you.
Our installation process is hassle-free. After designing a custom solar solution, our accredited Clean Energy Council electricians handle the installation and grid connection. We ensure the entire process is smooth, from paperwork to testing, so you can start benefitting from solar energy quickly.
We offer comprehensive monitoring setups that allow you to track your solar system’s performance in real-time. You’ll have access to data such as energy production and savings, empowering you to monitor the impact of your investment.
Our commitment doesn’t end with installation. We provide lifetime support to ensure your solar system operates optimally. Whether you have questions, need maintenance, or want to expand your system, we’re here to assist you every step of the way.
We will only install Tier 1 panels, the brand we use depends on your needs and compatibility with the inverter. Our main brands are Jinko, Risen and Longi Solar. Using only the best solar panels ensures the highest quality for our installations and long lasting savings for our customers.
The STC (Small-Scale Technology Certificate) scheme is still running until 2030, with the amount of STC’s reducing each calendar year. The amount of STC’s you will get for your install depends on your location, the size of your solar installation and the amount of deeming years there is left.
There are many benefits for installing a battery to your existing system. As well as storing your excess solar for overnight usage, it is possible to include blackout protection for your home and even arbitraging. This is charging the battery overnight at off-peak times to use your saved battery power in the morning before the sun comes up rather than paying shoulder or peak charges.
Yes – all of our systems come with an App for system monitoring. We will assist you with setting up the app and linking the inverter. Once set up, you can monitor your system’s production. If you get a battery install, you can also monitor your consumption and battery state of charge (SOC).
When your solar is installed, you do require a Smart Meter to calculate the amount of electricity used from the grid and the amount sold back to the grid.
We will assist you where we can to apply for the Smart Meter, but each retailer has their own processes for this.
Yes! We recommend customers who get an install to maximise their electricity use through the day time by using timers for their washing machines, dishwashers and air conditioners. You can also use timers or devices to warm electric hot water systems during the daytime to further lower your electricity costs. By reducing the amount of electricity drawn from the electricity grid, you will dramatically lower your yearly electricity costs.
